Poem Fix of the Day. July 12th 2011.

Some of you might recognize this verse of a traditional folk song from O Brother Where Art Thou.  If you ask me, the song’s brilliant.  Reminds me a little of the popular 1950s song 16 Tons.

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

You never change your socks,

And the little streams of alkyhol

Come a-tricklin’ down the rocks.

–From The Big Rock Candy Mountain, traditional.
